Media's anti-Trump campaign backfired. Bigly.

Axios had some bad news for Democrats. It reported, "Focus group: These Obama/Trump voters are just Trump voters now."

Axios said, "Some swing voters here who voted for Barack Obama and then Donald Trump are firmly in Trump’s camp now — and they're sick of impeachment."

Hillary lost the presidency twice because of them.

The story also said:
  • These voters hate the fact that House Democrats are moving toward impeaching the president. They call it a distraction from the issues that would actually improve their lives, like preserving Social Security, cracking down on illegal immigration, and keeping jobs in the U.S.
  • "I think she's wasting a lot of [taxpayer] money on a ghost chase," said Chad Y., a 43-year-old Obama/Trump voter, of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. "The money she's spending on that could go to help the homeless or go towards health care."
  • Another participant, 73-year-old Michael G., said Democrats' focus is in the wrong direction. "Instead of working on policies and things that will help the people, they are just working to basically preserve their own position ... They don't really care about you and me, I don't think."
And the story said, "These voters aren’t sick of Trump's antics like other swing voters we've talked with, and they don’t feel a sense that things need to get back to normal — because Trump is their new normal."

Finally, the story said:
  • In past focus groups this year around the upper Midwest, we've heard voters say they wish Michelle Obama would run for president; they've soured on Trump's personality; and several of them have indicated they would vote for Obama over Trump in 2020 if he were allowed to run for a third term.
  • But swing voters in our focus groups from Ohio, Iowa and now Michigan have revealed a common disdain for impeachment.
Meanwhile, the media's constant barrage of unfair and unwarranted attacks on America's president has turned the billionaire into an underdog, which rallies many supporters of Obama around President Trump.

Pew Research reported, "Through an exploration of more than 50 different surveys and an analysis of well over 100 questions, Pew Research Center finds that Americans’ political party identification is overwhelmingly linked to how the public evaluates the news media. Overall, Republicans give the news media far lower ratings than Democrats. These findings are in line with previous studies which show stark partisan divides, particularly after the 2016 presidential election.

"One of the most striking differences between the two parties is on their views of journalists’ ethical standards. About two-thirds of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents (64%) say that journalists have very high or high ethical standards, compared with two-in-ten Republicans and Republican leaners – a 44 percentage point difference. The vast majority of Republicans say journalists have low or very low ethical standards, including nearly a third (31%) who think they have very low standards."

It is a distrust well-earned.

That distrust is why the media cannot sell impeachment.

Breitbart News reported, "For the first time since the media launched the Ukraine Hoax, support for impeachment is underwater in the average of all the polls.

"Although support for impeachment never went over 50%, a plurality in favor of impeaching did stubbornly hold the lead in polling averages — at least, until Monday, the start of the week when the Democrat-controlled U.S. House is expected to pass two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

"One week ago, according to the RealClearPolitics poll of polls, 48% of those polled supported the impeachment and removal of Trump, while 45% were opposed. As of today, though, those numbers have flipped around: 46.7% support impeachment, while a plurality of 47.3% are opposed."

You need a supermajority of public support to impeach and remove a president, and if you cannot remove him, why bother impeaching him?

Democrats learned nothing from the Clinton impeachment. This is their payback for that. Hate makes you act stupid.

President Trump has delivered on his campaign promises. Obama did not. Premiums did not fall $2,500 per family. You did not keep your plan. And you did not keep your doctor.

But we are making America great again.

There is a bigger reason as to why former backers of Obama now are Donald Trump diehards.

Marginalizing people as racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it — makes politics personal.

Hillary's exact words to cheering fat-cat donors were “You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

As did Obama.

Democrats lost those voters forever.

President Trump's supporters will never leave him now. We elected him in 2016, and will re-elect him next year.
